Captain Harry C. Demosthenes is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, and has spent the majority of his life in, on, or around the pristine waters surrounding his hometown. He has years of experience guiding all kinds of charters, including fishing, crabbing, shrimping, dolphin watching, shelling, as well as river basin tours.

One of Harry's well-earned trademarks as a Lowcountry boat captain is his ability to challenge the saltiest of veteran anglers, as well as instruct and encourage first-timers, particularly youngsters. And he is eager to share his enthusiasm for in-shore (or near-shore) fishing with you in a safe (First-Aid/CPR certified) and responsible maritime atmosphere.

Boats

Drum Runner Charters has two boats belonging to its fleet:

The 20 ft Boston Whaler accommodates up to 6 passengers and is a comfortable ride particularly for families interested in a variety of activities including inshore and nearshore fishing, dolphin watching and other wildlife observation, ACE Basin tours and just riding around.

The 17 ft Silver King accommodates up to 3 people and is designed specifically for inshore fly fishing over salt flats and shallow water.

Both boats are equipped with GPS technology and depth finders. All safety equipment exceeds U.S. Coast Guard standards. Adult and child-sized life jackets are made available

Tackle

Captain Harry provides all bait and tackle, including Quantum rods and reels, Suffix monofilament line, Strike King baits, Scott and Temple Fork fly rods and Ross fly reels.

What to Bring

Food, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Fishing license, tackle, and an iced down cooler ill be provided.

A 50% deposit is required for all charters. Deposits can be made in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Charters cancelled 24 hours prior to departure will forfeit deposit. Refunds will be made in the event of bad weather or family/medical emergencies.
